| !! 46th Engineers Has Annual Reunions !! Held the second weekend in September 2008 REUNION TO BE IN CLARKSVILLE, INDIANA It is a MUST, this year, to return the postcard you get with your reunion info inorder to stay on our mailing list. Anyone NOT returning the card will stay on the roster, but will NOT get any future mailings about reunions. 46th Engineers Annual Reunion set this year for Sept. 9th or 10th thru Sept. 13th 2008 at the Holiday Inn Lakeview, Clarksville, IN. Exit 1 off I-65 Shuttle Service; There is shuttle service available to and from the airport at Louisville, Ky. Please call the hotel upon your arrival at the airport for this service. Hotel rate $75.95 plus tax per night. Reservatios: MUST be made by August 10th 2008 to insure the room rate. You MUST tell them you are with the 46th Engineers when making your reservations. Banquet; 6:30pm Sat. Sept.13th in the hotel banquet room. Cost will be $29.00 per person. Annual meeting to be held immediately after dinner. Dues; $10.00 per attending veteran, spouses and guests not charged dues. Checks; Please make all checks payable to MerriAnn Anderson The credit union will NOT accept checks made out to just the 46th Engineers. NOT on the mailing list, or have questions... This is a copy of the plaque todays 46th Engineers at Fort Polk, La.
had made and was dedicated to the Engineering Museum at Fort
Leonard Wood, Mo., on 12 September 2005. It is now hanging with
pride with the other Engineering plaques at the museum thanks to the
hard work and dedication done at Fort Polk, La., and Col. Gray seeing
we got the plaque in time for the 2005 reunion. Col. George Gray (Ret)
commanded the 46th from May 1967 to May 1968
Anyone who would like a picture of our plaque just click on "Email" at

I'll see you get a picture. This copy of our plaque is made available to
anyone connected with the 46th or their families for as long as one is
requested. There will NOT be any time limit set to receive a copy. You

Note; Our hats off to Sgt. Dixon for making soldier of the year and to Sgt. Portes for
making NCO of the year, These two fine soldiers and the rest of Bravo Company show
the very reason the 46th Engineers continues to out last any other Engineering unit in
the Military. The 46th marks 90 years of continuous service to our great country.
God bless our brave Bravo troops, and the rest of the 46th Battalion as they embark on
another deployment to Iraq to last 15 months.
We sincerely hope you have a safe and successful deployment, You will be in the hearts
and prayers daily of the veterans of the 46th and we suport you all 110%.....Gary

Company's fair well party at West Beach on Lake Tholocco at Ft. Rucker,

families gathered for BBQ. Well wishes came from all in attendance
including Al Hihson, from the Governor's office, who I had the distinct
honor to meet, along with meeting many of the fine young men and
women, like AB, who make up Bravo Compnay including their leader
Capt. Chris Beal and his XO.

prior to their deployment. They have
arrived safely in Kuwait and will move on
to Iraq in the coming weeks. Since they
deployed before 1 August 2008, they will
be away for 15 months. Any unit deployed
after 1 August will have a 12 month tour.
Our, (the veterans of the 46th) thoughts
and prayers will be with you 24/7 during
your deployment. Good luck and God's
speed, we are proud of you and everyone
with the 46th Engineer Battalion!!!
